অসহায়-দুস্থদের জন্য হোটেলের খাবার ফ্রি করে দিলেন ডিসি

করোনাভাইরাসের সংক্রমণ থেকে রক্ষা পেতে মানুষ গত ক’দিন ধরে কার্যত গৃহবন্দি। এতে খাদ্য ও নিত্য প্রয়োজনীয় দ্রব্যের সঙ্কটের মুখে পড়েছে স্বল্প আয়ের মানুষগুলো। এই সঙ্কট মোকাবেলায় চাঁদপুরের জেলা প্রশাসক মো. মাজেদুর রহমান খান এগিয়ে এসেছেন। তিনি জেলা প্রশাসনের উদ্যোগে স্বল্প আয়ের মানুষগুলোর মাঝে বিনামূল্যে খাদ্য সহায়তা (চাল-ডাল-আলু) প্রদানের ব্যবস্থা করেছেন। এছাড়াও জেলা প্রশাসনের পক্ষ থেকে চাঁদপুর শহরের ৪টি হোটেলে গরিব মানুষকে ফ্রি খাওয়ানো হবে।

জেলা প্রশাসকের এ মহতী উদ্যোগের সঙ্গে সহযোগী হিসেবে অংশ নিয়েছে চাঁদপুর ডায়াবেটিক সমিতি ও চক্ষু হাসপাতাল কর্তৃপক্ষ। রোববার বিকেলে চক্ষু হাসপাতাল এবং ডায়াবেটিক হাসপাতাল প্রাঙ্গণে বিনামূল্যে চাল ও আলু বিতরণ করা হয়। একইসঙ্গে বাজার মূল্য থেকে অর্ধেক দামে নির্বাচিত ওষুধ বিক্রি করা হয়।

জেলা প্রশাসক মো. মাজেদুর রহমান খান এই কার্যক্রম উদ্বোধন করেন। এ সময় উপস্থিত ছিলেন অতিরিক্ত পুলিশ সুপার মো. মিজানুর রহমান, অতিরিক্ত জেলা প্রশাসক (রাজস্ব) আব্দুল্লাহ আল মাহমুদ জামানসহ ডায়াবেটিক সমিতি ও চক্ষু হাসপাতাল কর্তৃপক্ষের কর্মকর্তাগণ।

উভয় জায়গাতেই আগ্রহীদের সামাজিক দূরত্ব বজায় রেখে চাল, আলু ও ওষুধ দেয়া হয়।

জেলা প্রশাসক মো. মাজেদুর রহমান খান জানান, সোমবার থেকে পুরো জেলায় সরকারি-বেসরকারি সহযোগিতা ব্যাপকভাবে বাড়ানো হবে। চাঁদপুর শহরের একাধিক স্থানে ৫ টাকা কেজি দরে চাল বিক্রি হবে। সরকারের পাশাপাশি ব্যক্তি পর্যায়ে অনেকে সততা স্টোর চালু করবেন। জেলা প্রশাসনের পক্ষ থেকে চাঁদপুর শহরের ৪টি হোটেলে গরিব মানুষকে ফ্রি খাওয়ানো হবে। তাছাড়া পর্যাপ্ত চাল মজুদ আছে। আশা করি, মানুষের খাদ্য সমস্যা হবে না।

এদিকে জেলা প্রশাসক মো. মাজেদুর রহমান খানের উদ্যোগে চালু হওয়া সততা স্টোর জনপ্রিয়তা পেয়েছে। জেলা প্রশাসক কার্যালয়ের সামনে সামাজিক দূরত্ব বজায় রেখে এখানে চাল, ডাল, পেঁয়াজসহ নিত্যপ্রয়োজনীয় খাদ্য সামগ্রী ন্যায্য মূল্যে বিক্রি করা হয়। গত কয়েক দিন আগে এই কার্যক্রমটি চালু করেছেন জেলা প্রশাসক।

স্বল্প আয়ের মানুষগুলো বর্তমান পরিস্থিতিতে জেলা প্রশাসকের এমন উদ্যোগে মহাখুশি। তারা এর জন্য জেলা প্রশাসককে ধন্যবাদ জানিয়েছেন।

উল্লেখ্য, গত দেড় বছর যাবত শহরের বড় স্টেশনে হতদরিদ্রের জন্য জেলা প্রশাসক নিজস্ব উদ্যোগে খাবার পরিবেশন করে আসছেন।

The district administration will provide free food to the poor in four hotels in Chandpur city. Moreover, there is sufficient rice storage. Hopefully, people will not have food problems.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner. The honesty store launched by the initiative of Majedur Rahman Khan has gained popularity. Rice, pulses, onions and essential food items are sold at a fair price while maintaining social distance in front of the Deputy Commissioner's Office. The Deputy Commissioner launched this program in the last few days.
